Our Stars

Robin- Middle School Student

One of our greatest joys is the opportunity to celebrate our students. Congratulations to Robin (grade 5) on being named Star of the Month and to the rest of our nominees for continuing to live out our values!

Robin is an exceptional student and leader. As a fifth grader, in a predominately sixth grade class, Robin sets the tone with her enthusiasm to answer questions, her ability to dig deeply into content to ask meaningful questions, and her dedication to excellence. Robin is a loyal friend, a dependable helper, and a true star.

Deron’s Story - High School Student

Deron is a 2019 graduate of La Salle Middle School and attends St. Mary's High School. He is doing very well in school academically and is a triple sport athlete:  play soccer, lacrosse, and wrestling. However, soccer is his main sport. Read Deron’s story: “I currently participate in Marianist LIFE club, Media club, and the school’s Leadership program. This decision was easy as I was always in a leadership role during my three years (De) La Salle, so the transition was easy. I decided to join the media club simply because I like photography and wanted to improve on my skills. In my freetime you can usually catch me on any given day at Ramp Riders park, which is an indoor skatepark in Soulard. I thank De La Salle for helping me get to where I am now. Their continued support means the world to me and my family.”

Aaron’s Story - College Graduate

Aaron is a 2012 De La Salle Middle School Graduate. His experience at De La Salle was a life changing one.  Read Aaron’s Story: “The dedication of De La Salle teachers, staff and graduate support team is something that I appreciate and is something you don’t find in a normal school.  De La Salle embodies its value of Care. They have shown care throughout my educational journey. During which, they have offered academic, financial and social support while I was attending Grand Center Arts Academy for high school and college at Webster University.  De La Salle feels like a family atmosphere when I am around them. It was extraordinary for De La Salle to prepare me for the real world. They have given me the opportunity to go after what I want and, always remember, that I am somebody.  I am truly grateful to be a part of this caring organization.”

Jasmine - Career Professional, De La Salle Alumni Association Chair

Jasmine graduated from De La Salle Middle School in 2013.  She attended Cardinal Ritter College Prep for high school and is currently attending Harris Stowe State University.  Read Jasmine’s Story: “De La Salle has had a huge impact on my life and education from the moment my parents first showed interest in De La Salle. The organization’s team became my advocate, from college readiness classes to ACT Prep and even throughout my college career, helping with textbooks and even allowing me to call and vent.  I’m so thankful they prepared me for those long college nights. I'm hoping that the De La Salle Alumni Association is able to be as much of an advocate for the current La Salle students as De La Salle was to myself and my peers. We are working very hard to establish our goals so that we are everything the students could ever wish for.”
